In 1933 current president Franklin D. Roosevelt is assassinated by an unknown assailant. This results in the continuation of the great depression. After the assassination of Roosevelt vice president John Nance garner III is tasked with finishing the presidential term. Garner continues the United States Non-Interventionism Agreement at the start of world war II in 1939. This allows the Nazis to annex Europe and the soviet union into the third Reich. this paves the way for the successful extermination of Jews, Jehovah witnesses, Slavs, and other people who were considered Sub-Human by Nazi ideology. During this time the Axis power was successfully able to conquer the continent of Africa. Imperial japan was able to win the war in the pacific and invade the west coast of the United States while concurrently Nazi Germany invaded the east coast. This resulted in the complete surrender of all remaining allied powers ending World War II in 1947. By 1962 Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany are the world world's superpowers fighting a geopolitical cold war over the world and in particular over the former united states and south America. Japan extended the greater east Asia co prosperity sphere with the establishment of the collaborationist pacific states of America (PSA) with the politically neutral rocky mountain states acting as a buffer against the Nazi territory to the east. Nazi north America is composed of two countries the south and the northeastern part of the former contiguous united states of America. Canada remains an independent country. the aged Adolf Hitler is incapacitated by tertiary syphilis before the end of the war. Martin Bormann is the acting chancellor of Germany and many high ranking Nazi leaders including Joseph Goebbels, Reinhard Heydrich. Hermann Guring, and Arthur Seyss Survive and vie to succeed Hitler as the Fuhrer of the greater Germanic Reich. Technologically the Nazis have drained the Mediterranean sea for  Lebensraum  and farmland developed and used the hydrogen bomb developed rockets for traveling throughout the world and into outer space and have undertaken colonization missions to the moon and to the planets venus and mars.

The formation of sass 1963 1964

Surviving resistance members of the Nazi America civil war as well as displaced intellects form cell networks in the New York city sewers and abandoned locations. A person by the name Maximus Drexler would become very influential during meetings becoming the de facto leader due to his natural talent at public speaking as well as coordinating people in mass. Under his command the secret American Surveillance Service would be created with the goal of collecting Nazi administrative weaknesses via corrupt bureaucrats as well as others who secretly despised the reign of the Nazis. In 1963 the SASS would successfully make first contact with Japanese intelligence service intermediaries in the buffer zone. This would be done by Drexler speaking to an unknown individual who went by the alias of agent baker. The conversation eventually led to the formation of the first attack the SASS would spearhead. After collecting intelligence it had been found to be very beneficial to sabotage the Mediterranean to America rocket supply chain which would delay the resupply efforts of the newly established lunar colony. In may 24 of 1964 multiple bombings of manufacturer sites as well as Guerilla warfare making transportation near impossible the lunar colony resupply would be delayed for 18 months causing mass hysteria in the colony leading in the destruction of the colony forcing emergency evacuation of all occupants back to earth. on June 28th SASS agents would successfully extract three high ranking German physicists that were willing to defect and provide technical intelligence of the V4 rocket and its known vulnerabilities. This allowed them to stop the bombing campaigns that would regularly happen in the buffer zone allowing more frequent meetings and cell networks to appear in the rocky mountains. Due to this the SASS would work hand in hand with the Black Communist Rebellion to assassinate Goebbels deputy during a broadcast eliminating one of the most important propaganda apparatuses in the greater Nazi Reich.

Imperial Japan Agreement 1965-1968

Three SASS agents would be assigned the crucial mission to infiltrate by acting as representatives from occupied African territories. They would then successful gain access to Reinhard Heydrich's office through fraudulent credentials and massive bribes to members of the SS. They were then able to intercept encrypted communication channels that provided war plans that were critical to the expansion into south America. This was then relayed to Drexler in NYC which would allow him to leverage the information in negotiations with Agent Baker. Before Drexler felt comfortable asking Agent Baker to setup a meeting with Japanese politicians he knew the SASS would need to show their power by conducting coordinated strikes of Nazi high command. On February 10th a coordinated strike Göring and Seyss Inquart would be conducted. Göring’s personal driver would be convinced to run into a wall at full speed in hopes of killing everyone in the vehicle. This would be successful as Göring would be admitted to the hospital in critical condition where two days later he would succumb of his injuries. At the same time Seyss Inquart would be poisoned during a diplomatic reception by agent enclave one of Drexler's most trusted SASS agents. 2 months after the coordinated assassination intelligence would leak on the Mombasa colony which would expose a resource miss allocation to the public that would damage the Reich's public image resulting in many resistance pockets to form. During this time Adolf Hitler's medical condition would leak due to a sympathetic doctor creating a succession crisis destroying trust between Japan and Germany. This was the perfect time to form a deal with Japan and Drexler knew this. He would contact agent baker requesting a meeting be made. It was then agreed on that Drexler would meet with the foreign ministry and was allowed to bring 3 of his most trusted SASS members. on November 22nd Drexler and 3 associates would meet in Reykjavík with the Japanese foreign ministry. The negotiation terms were as follows japan withdraws from pacific states after 20 year transition, publicly recognizes the American Federation, guarantees non aggression with former axis territories. In return Imperial Japan would receive access to stolen hydrogen bomb blueprint as well as the Reich's plans to expand into South America.

Surrender of the North American Reich 1968 1969

Due to the new agreement with Japan Drexler would form the American federation garrison which would gain 5,000 members in the span of a year. In 1968 SASS would sabotage the Nazi energy gird. The Remaining members of the Marine Corps would join the American federation garrison after the Japanese guaranteed safe passage. Bormann would attempt a nuclear strike that would be intercepted by the Japanese intelligence service. This would throw Imperial Japan into war with the German Reich leading to the surrender of the North American garrison after the Japanese created a blockade to prevent reinforcements from the European Garrison. Canada would then agree to be a mediating force in a peace conference that would be hosted in Alberta. A treaty would be established between the Japanese and the newly founded American federation that would put Drexler as the elected executive of the Military Junta. It would be decided that his term would last for 5 years and would be limited to 2 terms per executive. A military council would be formed to oversee defense and border security. A functional assembly for the senate would be created with an independent constitutional court with the authority to review emergency powers the senate attempted to grant themselves.

It is now the year 1969 and executive Maximus Drexler is in his first term. The military junta operates under the sunset clause requiring civilian elections by 1975. The disarmament of the old Nazi and Japanese infrastructure in north America is ongoing while war crime tribunals are being held in California to prosecute members of the old German Reich.
